I did a search and didn't find a thread about his so I thought I'd start one.
This is a case (well 3 cases) that are local to me. There are so many news stories out there, I tried to find one that was all encompassing. This is the best one I've found, but it's a long read.

Case #1 - Pamela (Pam) Hupp worked with and befriended Betsy Faria who had terminal cancer. At some point, Betsy made Pam the beneficiary of her $150,000 life insurance policy, despite having a husband and two daughters. Shortly after Pam was made beneficiary, Betsy was stabbed to death on December 27, 2011 and her husband (Russ) was convicted. Pam was the last person to see Betsy alive. During a subsequent trial, Russ was acquitted and released from jail. At one point Pam had mentioned that she would never kill someone over that amount of money as her husband's life insurance was worth a lot more and Pam would get the money if anything happened to him. She also had stated, “If I really—I hate to say it—wanted money, my mom’s worth half a million that I get when she dies… If I really wanted money, there was an easier way.”
Case #2 - In 2013 Pam's mother Shirley Neumann fell to her death from the third floor balcony of her apartment in a retirement community. Toxicologists stated that Shirley had 8 times the prescribed amount of Ambien in her system than she should have had. Also, the balusters (but not the top and bottom rails) of the fence on the balcony were broken out. Again, Pam was that last person to see Shirley alive.

Case #3 - In August 2016 Pam shot and killed Louis Gumpenberger who Pam alleged was trying to burglarize her home. In Louis' pocket was a ziplock bag were several $100 bills. The serial numbers on four of the bills were in sequence with a $100 bill found in Pam's possession. Also, there was a note is his pocket instructing him in order to get the rest of the $10,000 he needed to make Pam go to the bank and get, "Russ' money."

Investigators have also indicated the knife Pam claims Louis used, may have actually been purchased by Pam Herself.
Prior to Louis' death, two people have claimed that Pam approached them, pretending to be a Dateline NBC employee, asking them to do voiceovers for a 911 call.
